Renewal of Vows

A couple may choose to reaffirm previously made vows. For example, the marriage may have taken place interstate or overseas, and they wish to share a ceremony with family and friends unable to attend the wedding. Or they may be celebrating a significant wedding anniversary. Renewal of vows are not legal ceremonies, however you will receive a Reaffirmation Certificate.

Commitment Ceremonies

Under Australian law, same sex couples are prohibited from marrying. However, commitment ceremonies are very popular for couples, often same sex couples, who choose to celebrate their union by publicly declaring their promises in the presence of family and friends. Although committment ceremonies are not legal ceremonies, you will receive a Certificate of Commitment.
